  • Consumer Accounts:- One can create a purchaser account with Shopify based websites only when any purchases from the site is done, but with Magento Go, the consumer can create his account whenever he / she wishes regardless of making any purchases.

    Actually “One can create a purchaser account with Shopify based websites only when any purchases from the site is done” is incorrect. You can create a customer account at any time:

    Also you point out Shopify has a transaction fee you didn’t point out that it has unlimited bandwidth. Magento has small bandwidth and file storage limits and charge for surplus bandwidth and storage:

    “There is an overage charge of $10 for every 100MB of additional storage you use above the amount specified in your plan. Magento charges $10 per each Gigabyte of additional bandwidth used above the amount specified in your plan. If you are regularly exceeding the bandwidth or storage limits of your current plan, you can upgrade to a larger plan at any time.”
